Walking
There are many popular
walks passing through Shincliffe village. One of the most
popular is the Durham City and Houghall Discovery Trail which
follows the route of the River Wear from Shincliffe through mainly
open country into Durham city centre and then back along the other
side of the river. Ask at reception for more information.

If the
weather is not so good why not spend the day visiting one of
Europe's largest indoor shopping centres. As well as hosting
all of the usual high street names it also has themed shopping

Killhope
